Assignments:
1.Study your Scientific Words Week 4.
2.Read pg 812 - 821. This is the first 5 sections of Chapter 47. By the end you should be able to explain what a community is comprised of, the difference between niche and habitat, and the overall interactions found in a community.
3. Pull the videos off of the server from Chapter 47 & 48 and view the ones on communities and community interactions.
4. Read pg 822 - 8-31. This is sections 6-10. By the end you should be able to identify the basics of parasitism and how they are used, how community succession works, and how some species can have dramatic parts to play in the balance of ecosystems.
5. Pull the power point presentation on Communities off the server.
6.Write the answer only for the Review Questions pg 832 for questions 1, 3, & 4. Critical Thinking question 2.
7. Read Chpater 48. This chapter is 11 sections but it deals with the food webs, chains, and nutrient and compound cycles found in ecosystems. Be able to diagram BASIC cycles such as water, carbon, and nitrogen.
8. Biome project. This is being assigned on Thursday 9/18 and will be due on Wednesday 9/24.

9. Chapter 47 and 48 Review. This is assigned on Monday 9/22 and will be due Thursday 9/25.

10. Read Chapter 49. Sections 1 - 5. The remaining information will be covered with the classes' mini-posters. Eventhough I am not officially assigning the remaining sections for you to read, it would be in your best interest to read them quickly to ensure that you get the information for the test Monday.

12. Watch the videos over ecosystems and populations. These were in the folder that you copied from my jump drive.
13. Work on organizing your notebook. These are due Thursday for a test grade. They will be graded during class and handed back before the bell.
